So, you want to read something I’ve written.  That’s great.  Incredible!  Thank you!  There’s a few things to take care of before we can get started.

  1. Unless it’s a short story, I’m not sending you the whole thing.  I’d really love to, but that’s never worked out for me.  Instead, I’ll send you part of the story, how much depends on the speed at which you read.
  2. I need feedback.  If I’m going to produce a high-quality story, I need to know what works and what doesn’t.  “I liked it,” hasn’t been helpful since I was five.
  3. If you help me on this level, you’ll see your name in print!  I will thank you, by name, once that story is published.  If it’s a short story, you’ll have to wait for me to put out an anthology, but it will be there.
