For today’s post, I’m going to give the stage over to the Reality Check Fail podcast again. Over the summer, Dan and I have talked a lot about movies, but in this episode, we change up our format from raw discussion to interview. The questions all came from Dan and he put me on the spot in a way I’ve never been put on the spot, especially in regard to my writing.
Take a listen and enjoy!
After recording the latest episode of Reality Check Fail–Pop Culture Radio, I couldn’t stop thinking about Tesseract. I thought about it not because we’d just discussed it or because it’s what I’m going to work on for NaNoWriMo this year. I thought about it because I don’t have any cover text written down for it on the NaNo website. Continue reading
Today is my birthday and I think it’s a good chance for me to look back at what I’ve done in the past year. My efforts have been to reach my true goal, getting my novels published on a steady schedule, one where I can write full-time. Continue reading
After briefly discussing Green Lantern with Dan, we decided not to simply review Green Lantern, but also decided to take a look at the OVA, Green Lantern: Emerald Knights. This podcast got a bit more friction between me and Dan than we usually have, but I think that makes for a better show. Enjoy!
I’ve already mentioned my basic thoughts on X-Men: First Class, but I had the chance to share and exchange thoughts about the recent film during the most recent Reality Check Fail–Pop Culture Radio podcast. Check it out here or on iTunes and let us know what you think!
We usually don’t have socially relevant discussions on Reality Check Fail–Pop Culture Radio but our latest entry is just that. We discuss Diversity in Comics and, well, I thought it would be a lot angrier on our parts. Luckily, we manage to have a civil, in-depth conversation on the subject. Find out more HERE.
In this episode, Dan and I discuss what we thought about the new Kenneth Branagh movie, which I already discussed here. Aside from that, we also talk about how Thor relates to the rest of the Marvel movies, like The Avengers and Iron Man 2. Some of our discussion goes over the accuracy of the movie compared to the comic and, to a smaller degree, the folklore.
With my love of CrossGen comics and Dan’s appreciation of all things mystery or detective, we decided to regularly read and discuss the new CrossGen titles from Marvel.
We did the first issue podcast about a month ago, which includes some discussion of news from WonderCon.
The second issue podcast just went up and we include a little discussion of Free Comic Book Day, an event that’s trying very hard to become a true geek holiday.
Me and Dan have been working on a few podcasts recently. We try to stay on top of our recording, so much that I don’t even remember when we recorded this. Anyway, here’s the latest podcast where we discuss retcons. Continue reading
